Roadtrek Builds Momentum with Major Dealer Expansion and a New Generation of Ford-Based Camper Vans

The iconic camper van manufacturer is entering its next chapter with new dealer partnerships, new platforms and an expanding product pipeline. That momentum begins with the addition of Lazydays RV of Tampa in Florida and continues this fall in Elkhart, where dealers will get their first look at a new Roadtrek model built on the Ford Transit platform.

The addition of Lazydays represents an important step in Roadtrek’s continued growth in the U.S. market. Its Tampa RV Supercenter spans 126 acres, with more than 240 RV service bays and over 100 skilled technicians. The partnership gives Roadtrek owners access to an established sales and service organization in one of the country’s most important RV markets.

Roadtrek and Lazydays will introduce the partnership to consumers in a major way when Lazydays represents the brand at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa in January 2027.

“Partnering with Lazydays strengthens Roadtrek’s presence in one of the most important RV markets in the country,” said Massimiliano Miletto Petrazzini, Chief Executive Officer of Roadtrek Inc. “As we look ahead, we are focused on building a dealer network that can deliver the level of sales, service and ownership experience our customers expect from Roadtrek.”

“Roadtrek is one of those brands with real history and recognition in the Class B market, and we’re proud to welcome it to Lazydays,” said Tommy Tannert, Sales and Finance Director at Lazydays RV. “There’s a lot of interest in Ford within the Class B market, so seeing Roadtrek develop on the Ford platform is exciting for us and for our customers. We’re looking forward to seeing where the brand takes it and to being part of what comes next.”

A New Ford Chapter for Roadtrek

Roadtrek is expanding its product lineup onto the Ford Transit platform, with two new models in development — each offering a very different take on the Roadtrek experience.

The first will be previewed to dealers this fall in Elkhart and takes Roadtrek in an entirely new off-road direction, toward rugged adventure, extended-season capability and travel that continues when the pavement does not.

A second Ford-based model will follow, built around the rear bath floorplan — the top-selling floorplan configuration in the U.S. Class B market. Designed with modern comfort, everyday usability and Roadtrek’s signature approach to efficient use of space, it will offer a very different experience from the adventure-focused model arriving before it.

Dealers can expect their first look at the rear bath model in Q1 2027.

For now, Roadtrek is keeping the rest under wraps.

Dealers will get to experience the first Ford-based prototype during the 2026 Elkhart RV Dealer Open House, September 28–30.

Roadtrek will welcome dealers Monday through Wednesday at its display along Executive Parkway, near the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana, where attendees can step inside the prototype, meet with the Roadtrek team and provide valuable feedback as the vehicle moves through final development.

“We are being very intentional about how we bring new products to the market,” added Len McDougall, Head of Sales at Roadtrek Inc. “Elkhart is an opportunity to put vans in front of our dealer partners, listen to their feedback and continue refining them before they reach consumers. There is a lot we are excited to share — but we also believe in showing the market what is coming when we are ready to deliver it.”

Both models are being developed for production in 2027, with final timing, specifications and availability to be announced as each vehicle completes Roadtrek’s development and validation process.
