Roadtrek®TM Owners Quotes

As former Full-timers were most happy with our Sprinter on a two month 17,000 km trip this fall. We really tested everything and found no fault. We are especially impressed with the interior design and workmanship. A Class A product, the switch from a 35 ft rig to 21ft has been easier than we thought and the versatility far out weighed space issues.
Alexander Bell, Uxbridge, Ontario
After having five big motorhomes in 22 years and 300,000 miles, this was a drastic change and we wondered. After 18 months and 23,000 miles we love it...
Ronald & Donna Merrill, Lakeland, Florida
We have taken many long trips in the spring, summer and fall and we are thoroughly enjoying our Roadtrek. When we first arrive at a campground we joke about if tonight we will be an "RV" or a Van. It depends where the nicest site is, and we are happy to be able to "switch identities" back and forth. Not all Americans believe that bigger is better, before we found the Roadtrek we were very frustrated shopping for an RV. We are so pleased to have found such a wonderful small rig that is so well designed. It has everything we need.
Thank you for a great product and many happy travels.
Charles Baker
My wife and l just completed a 3500 mile, 3 week trip in our 2006 190 Popular. This is our 4th motorhome and the most enjoyable trip ever. We were hesitant to trade down in size but everything was great. We had many people that were impressed with our RV and we allowed them to look inside.
Thanks for making Roadtrek a comfortable product.
Melvin Brooks, Gooding, Idaho
We have just completed our 1st long trip 5000 miles and loved our Roadtrek. Since this is a new experience for us, we were amazed at the gas mileage, how well it handled on the road and best of all we parked everywhere a regular auto is allowed. The Roadtrek is Great.
Tom Pearson, Fayetteville, Arkansas
We love this RV! We went from a 36 foot to this size because we can go any where. We use it for day trips with friends, have used it as a "guest room" when we visit friends who live nearby, and love the compact convenience. This is our out and about RV, not our park it and sit RV. Thanks

I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know just how pleased we are with the purchase of our new Roadtrek Versatile 190. We had looked at many types and makes of motorhomes before deciding on the Roadtrek as the most logical choice...
We have owned our Roadtrek for some 8 months now and have enjoyed every minute of it. The Roadtrek is very well designed, incredibly functional and an excellent value. The design contributes to ease and simplicity of use, making for much more enjoyable outings. The motorhome has most everything the larger class C and A's have, but in a smaller package. The compact size of the Roadtrek is a major advantage, allowing for a pleasant driving experience and ease of parking.
Probably the most definitive example of the ease of use of the Roadtrek is to make a comparison to a neighbor of mine. My neighbor has a very large class A diesel pusher that has only been driven on one or two outings in the last year. While the "class A" is nice once you arrive at the destination, the driving of such a monster vehicle leaves the driver totally exhausted by the time you arrive at the destination. The real gauge of a successful motorhome purchase is the extent to which you actually use the motorhome. Because of the ease of use of the Roadtrek we have used it extensively, even for trips to the restaurant or shopping.
Thanks for producing such an expertly crafted and well designed motorhome. The Roadtrek has provided myself and my family many hours of enjoyment. We look forward to many more years of fun and adventure in your motorhome.
Bruce D. Brown, Alta Loma, California
I used to own a car and a larger class B motorhome. I sold them both and purchased a Roadtrek [190]. The convenient size makes the Roadtrek so easy to park and drivability And it's so well equipped that I don't miss either of my previous vehicles at all. I also love not having 2 vehicles that just sit in my driveway most of the time that I have to maintain.
Stephen Rose, Lexington, Kentucky
This is the best vehicle purchase I have ever made! I needed a vehicle that could take me to work every day, fit in the parking garage at work, not violate my neighbors parking restrictions, and be a full feature motohome. Our 170-Popular does all this and more. It is very well built and laid out. We just love it. I smile every day as I drive it to work and look forward to our next trip.
Patrick Shubird, Daphne, Alabama
I just got back from a two week road trip through Little Rock, Dallas, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Mobile, Destin FL, Montgomery AL, Jackson MS, then finally back to Dallas. The twist to the story is that for almost the entirety of the trip, we were traveling with four adults. Very enjoyable!
Hugh Chapman, Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas
I show dogs and it is perfect for me. The Roadtrek is not too big to drive to local shows. I stay in it on the weekend shows. I LOVE IT!
Ms. Kimberly Anderson, Farmington Heights, Michigan
I'm more than happy with my new Roadtrek, and recommend it to anyone who asks. I've had several curious Class A owners who wanted to scale down to something easier to handle come to me and ask about mine. They are more than impressed with what they see, and when they see how easily I set up or take down, they can't say enough. I usually get a "wow that was so fast and easy" comment.
Although I expect this Roadtrek to be with me for many years, I would never hesitate to purchase another one.
Ms Beverly Wasson, Allenstown, New Hampshire
I'm 59, single wanting to travel, I needed something small but well equipped. After seeing the Roadterk and viewing the video, you exceeded my expectations!
I just finished a 6 week trip to the Southwest, I met a couple living in a 38' Tradewinds with living room slider. After visiting and thinking about their RV versus mine, I decided I would only wish for a bigger bath facility but not enough to give up other pluses. I found I was getting about the same MPG as people in vans with no living facilities. They had to get a motel room, haul in luggage, and eat out. The people were envious that all I had to do was connect water, power and always had my own bed.
Met some other Roadtreks on the road, NO negative comments. I plan on driving to the east coast this summer/fall and hope for a tour of Roadtrek [factory].
Thanks for all your help, a great machine, and Love My Roadtrek!
Robert Cox, Sacramento, California
The [RV rental] dealer happened to have a Roadtrek (whatever that was) available. The vehicle sounded cute and small enough for us to drive, so we signed the contract. A gentleman... introduced us to our new "home." We departed for the wilderness. Two weeks and thousands of miles later, we bid a sad farewell to this home on wheels in which we had spent so many trouble-free, enjoyable hours. We had seen moose, black and grizzly bears, Dall sheep, Mt. McKinley, rainbows, glaciers and more mosquitoes than we could shake a stick at ? all from the safety and comfort of our little Roadtrek. Wish we'd had product info to hand out ? dozens of fellow campers wandered over at campgrounds throughout Alaska to ask "What is that? Where'd you get it???"
Shirley Bumgardner, Portage, Michigan
We've been researching lots of vehicles over the years, and never found one that seemed "just right" until Jean showed us your brochure and told us about the trip she was planning in one of your motorhomes. We both instantly felt that we had found the perfect vehicle for our tour! Not too big, not too small, but JUST RIGHT!!! Good gas mileage, plenty of storage space for musical instruments and puppets, small enough to drivability Comfortably, but so well-planned and well-made that we could see ourselves (and our small dogs) traveling in comfort and style...
Kate Schuerch, Hilo, Hawaii
I am happy to report what I feel is fantastic fuel mileage on my new 200-Versatile on Chevrolet chassis, I can average 15.2 mpg [US gallon]. I wanted a unit that did not look like a motorhome, and my Roadtrek doesn't, it looks like a van! Now I can easily get under a 9' garage door... lets me park in less space. My Roadtrek is much "prettier" and much sleeker-looking, and has a vast amount of storage space with its "basement"...

We are the owners of a Roadtrek 190-Popular. We never used it without remarking about how easy it is to get around, plus have all the advantages of a large rig. We have owned three large motorhomes in the past and never relaxed and enjoyed the back roads like we do now.
Luella & Ed Smith
We found that the large motor home was not fulfilling our needs because we wanted the freedom to run around without hassles of hooking up tow vehicles, worry about getting down a road with no place to turn around, etc. We looked at other vans of this type and none compare with the Roadtrek. There is so much thought put into it.

We are a proud owner of a Roadtrek and took it on a big trip to Alaska this past summer and enjoyed it tremendously. We previous owned a 28 Class C motorhome and were surprised how well we adapted to the smaller space but we truly enjoyed it and had a great time.

Aina and I just returned from a short trip... While we were established in a very woodsy campground, we observed a large [motorhome] (35 feet, at least) spend about half an hour with three people providing guidance, getting into his assigned space between some trees. The next morning, it took him about twenty minutes with much back and forth maneuvering to get his rig out of the park. Did we feel smug! Parking and exiting took us about thirty seconds. Shortly afterwards, we stopped at a restaurant for breakfast and parked right outside the entrance in their parking lot. The large motorhome people were in the same restaurant, but they had to park about a quarter mile away and walk because their rig wouldn't fit into any of the parking spaces in the parking lot. More smug!!
Harry Hewitt, Palo Alto, California
After camping in a tent for over 33 years my husband and I decided that there must be a more comfortable alternative. We still preferred to camp in state and national campgrounds, though, and the bigger 'rigs' removed us from the rustic outdoors more than we wanted. We shopped around for about a year... We took delivery of our "Roadtrek" in August of this year and I must tell you that we absolutely love it!!! It gets us everywhere we want to go with comfort and ease. You haven't left anything out; it has everything we need and more. We actually feel a bit guilty on a cold damp morning snug in our "Roadtrek" while other campers struggle to get a campfire lit for warmth and coffee. It sure beats a tent! There's one problem, however, because it's so comfortable and quiet - we sleep too late! Thanks for a wonderful product.
Susan & John Powers, Pittsford, New Jersey
We are very pleased with our Roadtrek. We needed a "home away from home" when we visited our children. Now we don't have to put our grandchildren out of their bedrooms. And most of all, our Roadtrek is so compact and we don't have to pull another car. Thanks Roadtrek!!
T & M Ferrel, Beavercreek, Ohio
Styling... looks much better than competition. Storage... takes everything we had in 28' trailer. Reputation... friends have one. Our first trip... no packing! - everything there... just drive. Took last space in camp - we fit!... others turned away. Constantly get stopped by strangers asking to look inside my Roadtrek - happily comply.
A Scott, Scotts Valley, California
Best quality in a "B" camper. Due to zoning rules, not allowed to have an "RV" where I live... showed zoning committee Roadtrek and they said... "Oh.. that's OK; it's just a van"!
J Haskell, Louisville, Kentucky
We shopped long and carefully to find the right vehicle... Once we saw the Roadtrek, we knew we found it. The bath/dressing area, kitchen layout, storage etc., are by far the best of anything we've seen. When we travel, we get many compliments on the appearance of the vehicle. The standard van width and length is a very important issue for us. If we go to a nice restaurant, we do not want to wonder if there will be parking spaces big enough for a big motorhome. With a Roadtrek, we never have to worry about it. We can go anywhere.
We saw no other van that offered as much as Roadtrek for comfort and efficiency... We were extremely comfortable even on the cold mornings and found the van handled very well even on some very windy days.
Burgess, Shandaken, New York
We had a [4 year old] Roadtrek which gave us excellent performance and good gas mileage. After driving close to 10,000 miles in and around Alaska from Denham Springs [Louisiana], we decided a large motor home would be better. We bought a [new] Class A 28', drove it to Colorado for a month, came home and placed our order for a [new] Roadtrek.
John Henderson, Denham Springs, Louisiana
From its clever, compact and quality use of every inch of space to its sleek look, from the back roads of the Northwest to the busy streets of DC and the narrow lanes of New England, the Roadtrek accommodated our needs for comfort, charm, performance and economy. We love it!... RV shows led me to believe I needed more than 19 or 21 feet for fulltiming. We ended up with a larger motorhome for awhile... Then... we down sized to the 19 foot Roadtrek. It has served us well for over a year now. We are able to travel easily with no tow vehicle. Our mileage is better, our insurance lower, and best of all, I can and do drive it. It takes us to beautiful places, to visit lots of wonderful family, and to the local supermarket...
Gael P. Mustapha, Green Valley, Arizona
...reasons for purchase of our Roadtrek. I doubt whether ours can be considered unique. 1) The last cat had died. (Our 40 year old turtle has maintenance requirements which did not need much space). 2) I was getting tired of the travel procedures necessary with a 30 ft. travel trailer and the difficulty of maneuvering through tight spaces, parking limitations, etc. 3) We wanted to tour... I particularly enjoyed not having to return to a campground to pick up a trailer, but ending our daily tour at the next campground... The Roadtrek is our major transportation vehicle here and a temporary residence when we visit our friends and relatives here - no impositions!...
R. G. Pankhurst, Ada, Michigan
LOVE IT!!!! Its beauty, craftsmanship, value, layout, size, gas mileage, driveability on highway. Amazed every time we take it out.
Nancy Cramer, Guyton, Georgia
We love Sylvia [our Roadtrek]. She performed magnificently all the way to Cabo San Lucas [from Washington state], was always out front in our caravan of 16 rigs, some costing up to $300,000. Needless to say, we were proud of her every mile of the way and never once wished she were larger. We have it down to a science now and lived in her for 3 months in Alaska-Canada and 4 months and 8000 miles to and from Cabo.
Russel Day, Lacey, Washington
We have been happy owners of a new Roadtrek Motorhome van (170-Popular with the armoire)... After being a previous owner of a larger motorhome we can truly give a true assessment. It definitely has the comfort and conveniences we desire, and the main pluses are the ease of driving, being able to park anywhere, and the economical operation.
Joe & Lenna Barrett, Pryor, Oklahoma
After a 4 year search and making comparisons, I got a unit that gets good gas mileage, can be easily garaged, is easy to handle and has all the features of the big rigs.

The 190-Versatile lived up to its name. No other motorhome could have served our needs better or have given us the flexibility to go where or when the spirit beckoned. It was reassuring to know that we could camp for 3-4 nights without hook-up or services (many National Parks did not provide hookups) and comforting to feel that, no matter where you were stopped for the night, once the curtains were drawn you were "at home". We were able to visit places where longer and wider units were not permitted and never had to reserve a time to pass through long tunnels such as in Zion National Park. We drove the narrow streets of the French Quarter in New Orleans and traveled and parked with ease in other cities. Exceptional vehicle.... Exceptional trip.

I like being able to park at my home and wherever a car can. Also to my surprise we are just as comfortable as we were in our 28 ft motorhome!
