U.S. Tax Deduction for New Motorhome Purchases
The U.S. economic stimulus package (American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act of 2009) pro-vides a tax deduction for state and local sales and excise taxes
paid on the first $49,500 for new motorhomes purchased from February 17 to December
31, 2009.
Combine this income tax deduction (up to $3500 in some states) with tax
deduction for interest as a second home and the incentives from Roadtrek, and there

The deduction is phased out for joint filers with modified adjusted gross
income between $250,000 and $260,000 and other taxpayers with modified AGI between
